The forecast for Saturday – cool and windy – is not too promising but Sunday looks better so if you can only put in one day, better make it Sunday. All contributions from birding sites in the ACT welcomed, even incidental ones or short surveys of your backyard birds.  Our aim is to get a snapshot of all the birds using the ACT over the weekend, not only the less usual ones. Photos most welcome too. Ebirders please remember to share your records with COG Blitz. Inevitably there are a few unloved sites and dropouts. If anyone can squeeze in a bit more birding over the weekend, think about some of the following: Woodstock NR (the part W of the river); Uriarra Crossing; Tuggeranong Hill NR; Gibraltar Falls; Corin Dam; Smokers Trail; Lake Tuggeranong; Crace grasslands; Booroomba Rocks, Square Rock. And more blitzers in the Brindabellas always desirable.  And I’m holding out for more offers of suitable prizes, as always. Happy safe and fruitful birding, all. b
