Reminder - sunday outing

Meet at 8am at Namadgi Visitor Centre for carpooling to Glendale Depot. Despite it being unpleasantly windy out at the depot this morning, there were some nice birds there. A male Restless Flycatcher was in trees on edge of the dam, and there was a large flock of woodswallows beyond the depot buildings - Masked, White-browed and a couple of Dusky Woodswallows. They were feeding on the ground and sitting on low stalks, but occasionally taking to the air in large numbers. A Pallid Cuckoo was calling nearby in the same area, but with the wind picking up rapidly and a shower passing over ( as well as a couple of irate Masked Lapwings overhead), I didn't bother chasing it up.
