Hi All,

Thanks again to Danny for reporting the large flock of Superb Parrots that have been feeding near the Town Centre in Gungahlin.

On Saturday afternoon I spent an amazing 90 minutes or more sitting in the dirt (along with Danny & Paul) and watching these beautiful birds feeding on grass seed and drinking from a puddle of water. What an amazing sight to see so many of this species together, in the late afternoon sunshine and not worrying about mere humans a few metres away. It was an afternoon that will not be forgotten any time soon!

For anyone interested I have added a number of photos on Flickr (including the mating pair) ..... not the magnificent standard of Danny's photos but still a beautiful record of the afternoon.

Cheers
Julie
