I was at Kelly’s Swamp from about 10:55 and the Glossy Ibis was where the Northern Shoveler spent most of its time when I arrived.  Soon after it flew off to the right and I didn’t see it again over the next 40 minutes as I walked anticlockwise to each of the first 4 hides.

As I had left my phone at home I did an ebird list when I arrived home sometime later.

I arrived at Jerra Wetlands just before noon and when i got out of my car a very excited voice said "Is that a Glossy Ibis Shorty". The bird was quite distant and flying away from us so i took some shots but he was quite confident that it was.

I have just checked my pics, very big crop and had to bring up the shadows but i can now answer the young mans question. "Yes, it is a Glossy Ibis" 😀

The bird was heading toward LBG so a look around the lake could be worth while.

With my bad memory for names i have forgotten his already so perhaps he could reply to the chatline so the just credit for the sighting goes to him.
