Not often you get to seen one of these on Australia, first for me
https://vimeo.com/359004254
It was filmed a long way off, into the sun and with heat haze to deal
with and filmed hand-held with a '35mm focal length equivalent' of well
over 1000mm, got to love modern cameras and editing software. Sound has
been edited to remove voices and 'canikon' noise pollution.
Some Northern Shovelers https://vimeo.com/221834826 filmed by me in the
softer filming light of a southern English spring, where it is common,
esp. Autumn to Spring, were many over-winter before they bugger off back
to the far north of Europe and to Russia to breed. You can see the
female in this film, which are very similar to our local ones. It would
be difficult to sort them from the local ones at a distance, if one of
them turned up, they probably do but we never ID them.....
Enjoy
