Hi Everyone,

 

Earlier this year an application was successful for an environmental grant to install nesting boxes at Yerrabi Pond (Gungahlin). As part of this project, there may be a limited number of surplus boxes available for installation in other urban parks.

 

Would you like some boxes installed on your site?

 

If you are interested, please let me know how many you think would be suitable and what animal species that could benefit.

 

The installation site will need to be approved by our operation managers, subject to tree suitability and involve a level of ground monitoring from your group. Monitoring of boxes is expected to include species usage and that the box is still intact and not posing a safety issue. There would be 3-4 monitoring sessions over a 12 month period but doing more monitoring would be great.

 

If you’re interested, let me know before Monday the 12^th.
