Hi All,
Location Jerrabomberra Wetlands. Just seeking some ID help with this honeyeater. Thought it would be quite simple but after checking my CSIRO Australian Bird Guide I wasn’t 100% confident considering how plain the bird seems. My guess is a fuscous
honeyeater, a species I haven’t ID’d before. Based on the yellow base of bill, faint plume with very faint dark edges and a spot on top, darkness around the eye, pale breast, and general plainness! According to ebird this species is recorded at Jerra Wetlands
at low frequency in the colder months.
The bird was on its own as far as I could tell, was very quiet and not looking too active or keen to feed or move on. Just checking out the scene apparently!
Cheers again,
Steve.
