how awful. weight is very good so it was a healthy owl at 1.5 kg

A dead powerful owl was picked up from under the trees at the Walhallow soccer grounds in Hawker over the weekend.
Weighed 1.5kg and looked like something had attacked it. It was in good condition apart from tear under leg. (although that could of happened after dying?). 
The bird has been passed on to ACT Parks and conservation who were going to do tests on what it was eating etc.
