In addition it seems that under our trade agreement between NZ and Australia. In Government procurement matters NZ companies are to be treated as 'domestic' when it comes to such matters. Same goes the other way. Both Governments signed up to that.   So there is no probs with a Kiwi company tendering and winning such a job here.  Five minutes in any large town in NZ these days will soon leave you with the impression that business there is half Australian operated. Things go both ways.

I don’t read anything in the message to suggest that there isn't a Canberra company that could do this. Maybe there wasn't a Canberra company that put themselves forward. Or any number of other possible situations to explain the outcome.

I am flabbergasted that there isn't a Canberra company that could do this.  How was that foreign company selected?

HI all

The Woodlands and Wetlands Trust is arranging to have a number of workshops with stakeholders that would be interested in providing their views about  Interps (signage etc) to be developed for Jerrabomberra Wetlands . The workshops are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday next week. COG has a slot scheduled at 11.30 am – 12.30 pm on Monday 24th June located at Jerrabomberra Wetlands. Chris Hay of Locales (a Wellington NZ company which designed the signage at Mulligans Flat) will be leading the workshop discussion. This is a great opportunity for COG members to provide your views and suggestions about the Interps that we would like to see at Jerrabomberra Wetlands and we would welcome your attendance and contribution to the discussion.

Could you let me know by Friday 21 June 2019  if you are able to attend the workshop so we can track numbers attending.

Regards

Alison
