Just at Elliston on the western side of the Eyre peninsular and noticed a pacific gull picking up and dropping something on the bitumen . It did this several times and then joined another one sitting on a picnic table.  After they left I checked out what it had been trying to break and discovered a rather large mollusc shell (2.5cm across) broken and empty.

On another note the Merlin ID app has been useful already.  Very nice for ID.
