In National Circuit Forrest outside Forrest Primary School at about 1pm, there was a bird which I believe was a cross between a Sulfur-crested Cockatoo and a Little Corella.

The bird had a corella crest and a fair amount of yellow in the wings.  The head was all white – no eye-ring and no red marking in the face.

There was a hybrid discussed on this chat group in 2012 which had a blue eye-ring and a yellow crest – sort of the opposite to this bird.

The bird was eating from an acorn held with the left foot and was being quite ferociously swooped by Noisy Miners and a male Magpie.  It ignored the attacks unless it was hit, in which case it raised its crest momentarily, but otherwise did not move.  It was quite confiding as I approached to within about 3 metres.
