Today I attended the Drill Hall Gallery, ANU and saw the installation, I Hope You Get This, by Raquel Ormella. The bird related work is in Gallery 3 and should be of particular interest to COG members. Raquel found 84 species of birds in the Jogjakarta bird Market but only 64 in the surrounding forests while searching over 4 weeks. There are no more crows in Jogya as they have been trapped for the pet trade.
She highlights  issues and expresses them through a range of media.  She also looks at the endemic species in Tasmania. It was a provocative and well researched work by a a former COG member
