I have sent you this invitation as somebody active in Citizen Science in our region

 

Citizen science involves public participation and collaboration in scientific research with the aim to increase scientific knowledge.

The Australian Citizen Science Association  (ACSA) was formed to advance citizen science through the sharing of knowledge, collaboration, capacity building and advocacy.

It is a member-based community that supports, informs and develops citizen science. ACSA membership is open to all.

This get together is to launch the ACT and SE NSW Chapter of ACSA. Five ten minute seminars will outline the range of what is currently going on in our region followed by a chance to mingle and get to know each other,.

We are a vast team of expert observers and experimenters doing fantastic science and adding much to how we understand the world around us. We are capable of so much more.
