With the swamp drying, last week we managed to get a machine to drop two new ‘trees’ in. Not in the perfect spot for the photographers but we would have had an excavator as a bird roost if we had tried to get closer to the hides. Hopefully
the birds and turtles will appreciate them. The last time it was dry enough was 2013. Fortunately we got free use of an excavator from the healthy Water ways project next door. At the moment the works should be completed end of April. Some areas may remain
with temporary fencing to help plantings get established.
