Very interesting Mark, I had three coming through my place this morning
after having had very few for a long while - I usually just get some at the
peak of their migration season.

They've also started quite a bit earlier than I expected, and have been
observed quite widely, with from 20 March reports from Gigerline, Florey,
Kambah, Duffy, Fadden, Goorooyaroo, Higgins, Weston and EPIC, in addition to
Kaleen and Chapman.

Not sure why given we haven't yet had anything close to the usual triggers
of low overnight temperatures (they're still in the mid teens) and clear
skies.

For the first time in a long time I had at least 12 Yellow-faced
Honeyeaters fly through my GBS site in Kaleen. Many years ago they were
a regular visitor through the garden while on migration but then the
movements stopped and I am not sure why.

Mark
