Apart from a small feeding flock, and a flock of about 10 Spotted Pardalote flying north east, bird life is very quiet. Ground conditions are extremely dry with little ground cover and no water in the NW dam.
Three very heavy earthmoving vehicles are located at the crossroads, and have been used to widen and level the track, with disappointing damage to the bushes and small trees along the edges of the track. A roller vehicle, very large caterpillar and supersize water carrier truck appear to be there for fire control measures. Ebird report to be completed. Jean |
