Hi, just a reminder that we mist netted a Lewin’s Rail when we last had a Snipe trapping session. We did not have the authority to band the bird but measurements were taken and sent to the banding office. It
was a great experience to have the opportunity to see the bird in the hand.

Dad and I found a Lewin’s Rail along the boardwalk at Jerrabomberra Wetlands, this morning at 8:30ish. It wasn’t keen on having its photo taken, but see attatched. I’ll link some higher resolution pictures later.
