I have seen only one at Crace ponds this year and that was several months ago. Over the last few years there have usually been several at this site (up to a dozen) over spring and summer.

A count, I carried out this morning gave only a total of 420 Welcome Swallows. While this may seem a large number in absolute terms, it represents only 25 to 30% of the numbers at this time of year in 2016-2018 (see Canberra Bird Notes 43 (3): 236-251).
