Driving back into Canberra from the direction of Yass this afternoon a number of Black-shouldered Kites were seen hovering beside the highway - a sight rarely seen since they largely vanished from the region about 2 years ago. Even just 2 weeks ago on
our drive out none were seen, so perhaps this is a recent insurgence of them back into our area.
Also noticeable was that everything is a lot greener than 2 weeks ago :)
