This morning there were 2 (possibly 3) Buff-banded Rails in the creek which runs through Hassett Park which is bounded by Pentland Street, Provan Street, Creswell Street and Chowne Streets in Campbell.  I saw two of them which were either females or juveniles.  I did, however, hear a third one.  The rails were in the section of the creek between the two children’s playgrounds.  We have lived in the apartments across the road from the park since October 2017 and this is the first time I have seen or heard them so it was exciting to see them.
