On Blundell's Creek Road today I saw a bird perched on a branch I couldn't identify at first, it was obviously a young bird and seemed to be very tousled and woe-begone. I couldn't even identify it as to type when suddenly a female Red-browed Treecreeper came and peached on the branch next to it and started feeding it. This is the first time I have ever seen a Treecreeper perch on a narrow branch before (as opposed to walking along the top of a thicker limb). After this feed the dy follows the female but wasn't very sure-footed on vertical truck of a smooth-barked eucalypt!
