During a rather futile attempt at a butterfly survey at Rendezvous Creek late morning, we (John Bundock, Prue and I) were very surprised when an adult Black-eared Cuckoo popped up. Unfortunately it was too quick for photos but no doubt about the id. This was about 200 metres along the track from the car park. We weren’t able to relocate it and it didn’t call.
