This morning I walked Parkwood Rd. for about 3.2 km (1 km in the ACT, 2.2 km in NSW), with the intention of counting grassland birds:
Stubble Quail 3 (1x ACT, 2x NSW),
Brown Quail 2 (flushed NSW);
Horsfield's Bushlark 22 ( 4x singing in the ACT, and 14x in NSW, incl. 1 bird carrying food and 1 begging young);
European Skylark 21 (1x ACT, 20x NSW, most birds singing, also 1 carrying food)
Brown Songlark 10 (1x ACT, 7x NSW, incl. 2x ♀ carrying food)
Golden-headed Cisticola 5 (2x ACT, 3x NSW)
Australasian Pipit 7 (1x ACT, 6x NSW, incl. 1 carrying food)
And many thanks to Lindsay for pointing out the Spotted Harrier on the fence post!
