I saw a big fat Eastern Koel fledgeling being fed by a much smaller Red Wattlebird in Garran, 40 Fitchett Street to be precise.  First time I saw with my own eyes.  It is a quite disgusting sight.

I also saw about 10 superb parrots flying from the garden of the Southern Cross Care (retiremment village) nearby.  I heard a begging call as well.  Now that I am more familiar with their call I think they have been around for several days. The garden is full of crab apples and Manchurian pears. Are they from the Federal Golf Course?
