Julian’s bird this morning.  Note missing flight feather in right wing.  Snapped from a ridiculous distance while discussing it with Julian and Lindsay.

Thanks to all for the replies, very much appreciated.  My summary below.  People who thought it was obviously a Spotted from the beginning should not read further.   In the end and with the benefit of more info I believe it is an immature (not juvenile) Spotted.
