Mark,
there were many today in areas to the East of Lake George, defoliating many of the wind-break eucalypts.

Morning all,
A post on Facebook from a banding colleague in northern NSW has me now
asking the same question - has anyone seen any Christmas Beetles this
year? To date I have not seen any and have put this down to the very dry
conditions we are having, and have had for a while. Anyone seen any in
the local area?
Mark
