I meant to send this to the chatline yesterday in response to John's note on his Pacific Swift record but forgot to add the chatline to the recipients so only John received it.

I had a lone White-throated Needletail over my house in Kaleen at 1800hrs on Wednesday this week looking totally lost. I have not yet reported this, or records of Pacific (Fork-tailed) Swifts that I have from the banding trip to Iron Range last month to
Mike Tarburton but will do so in the very near future.
As has previously been discussed on the chatline, Swifts of any species appear to have declined markedly over the ACT in recent years. I regularly check any storm front for the birds and also keep an eye on the sky regardless of the weather conditions.
