I am expecting the frogmouth chicks to leave the nest on Saturday evening (assuming they have been getting well fed this year) It was thus somewhat of a surprise to look across the lawn
and see....
Fortunately I had noticed the chicks getting a tad active and on walking around the tree found this happy group.
With this species leaving the nest does not equal first flight!
