Maybe it is not surprising in this dry year to see so many Common Bronzewing in the street.  Six birds were seen during my brief walk within the suburb late this afternoon when I went looking for a nest.  High up in a properly built nest the head of a female CB was seen sitting quietly.  She pulled her head down when she saw me. Meanwhile Magpies are madly chasing male CB into shelter.

Also a bit unusual I think, a King Parrot feeding dependent young via regurgitation method.

Then a male Koel calling persistently.  There are lots of Red Wattle Birds waiting around to be sponsors for Koel chicks!
