Yes, plural.

 

The male Koel that has been around for a month, has found a partner.  Last evening (7:15) I heard  him calling with active responses from a female.  His Ko-el calls had shifted to wirra-wirra and the female was responding.

The birds were situated hear the corner of Empire Circuit and Northcote Crescent in a tree about 200m from the perching tree I saw the male in two nights ago and where the action of last year was centred.
