Pair of Koels mating in Lyons at 6:30 pm today! Lovely close views of both birds sitting on a bush (some european garden species), eating red berries, before and after mating. Male was calling loudly from a maple, and the female flew in and
they copulated. The pair separated, but were later seen feeding on the same bush. One can truly appreciate how splendid these birds are at such a close range.
