I'm not sure about you flatlanders, but up here in Carwoola I have recorded 3 migrant species as early, 14 have been on time, 7  are late and 13 haven't been recorded yet.  Of those unrecorded most are uncommon in this area - so the time of their being recorded should not be considered in forming an indicator of the migration season.

My overall thought is that the season more likely late and definitely not early.

The Kaleen koel has either disappeared or gone very quiet as i have not heard a peep out of him since I recorded him on one day only last week - he was not in my GBS area when we heard him call. Am I imagining things or are they generally later arriving this year?

The Mawson Koel is back. Male calling briefly before being aggressively chased off by a Red Wattlebird.
