Having been unlucky w the turks @ the wetlands c. 2 wks ago, I struck it lucky @ Gipsy Pt, SE Vic last w’end where saw 2, flitting & arrowing away along the grassy path in bush near inlet. Rec. Gypsy Pt Lodge, sth of Mallacoota; shortly thereafter on same path saw lyrebird + bassian thrush;

superb location in bush tho a bit tick –infested this time of yr (+ the accom. was v attractive but a little `Fawlty Towers’; despite this, mine host far more genial , humorous etc than Basil.
