Thank you all for the early notification of the Woodswallows this morning. We managed to locate them over the house just before 2 pm this afternoon in Macarthur. They appeared between two of the showers passing through. Similar sized group than reported on the north side, but they were low enough, and we were prepared with the camera and binoculars, that we did manage to identify one Masked Wodswallow within the group.

A flock of at least 60 White-browed/Masked Woodswallows passed over Cook at 11.30 heading northerly. Too high to identify which of the 2 species made up the flock.

 

The timing of their appearance is to be expected given the dry conditions.
