I have assumed some overwinter, but they didn't in this area. They were in this part of Ainslie until June, then they left and didn't reappear until this last fortnight. At present they appear to be all adults, and numbers are building.
Last year they didn't arrive until November and then they were adults with lots of dependent young. They were the most numerous birds in the street then, outnumbering even the Noisy Miners.
