A single Swift Parrot early this morning at Wanniassa Hills Primary School. Light was very poor but it was staying away from the hordes of noisy Rainbow Lorikeets in the flowering ironbarks. Initially thought I had the Musk Lorikeet, because
of the mainly green plumage and red on head, but the call when it flew was wrong, and the poor photo included in ebird list shows the Swift Parrot red facial pattern bordered with yellow on the head. Call when it flew a series of high pitched notes, unlike
lorikeet call. Could not re-locate, but there are a number of ironbarks in flower there. Two Superb Parrots also flew through this morning.
