It’s a bit of a challenge for the Barn Owls at the moment. This one has lacerated feet , mangled wing and obviously badly mauled beak, a result of Magpie/ Currawong / Raven attack. Found at the ASIO building yesterday. We have had 12 come in since July not all happy endings sadly.

At Kelly’s Swamp today.  Flushed it from a small copse of wattles at the southern end of the swamp.  Last seen pursued by a magpie, disappearing into the large pines between Cygnus and Bittern hides
