This morning at Mulligan's Flat, not far from Retz Cres, Forde, I heard a Grey Currawong calling loudly and repeatedly. Later it flew over me, found a new perch and continued to call.  A pair of Pied Currawongs followed later and perched about 10 metres away and remained there for some minutes before moving off.

With the breeding season not far away and food supply short, due to the drought, is this a case of " stalking"  and a precursor to  a territorial dispute where the Greys will come off second best?
This thought occurred as Pied Currawongs have been reported to have dismembered a Southern Boobook Owl at " Melrose" Tuggeranong ( anecdotal Harold Adams) and Collared Sparrowhawk in Turner ( Rosemary Medcalf )?
