Shining Bronze Cuckoo picking up a grub in grassy area in Hume. Picked up as I scanned to count the pipits, but I was too slow to get the camera out. There was a Grey Currawong calling repeatedly in the nearby patch of woodland, and there were Yellow-rumped Thornbills carrying nesting material into thick foliage in the grounds of the old Couranga homestead. Lots of Red-rumped Parrots at hollows in the very dry woodland behind weighbridge.
