Hi GOGers,

It's that time of the year again when volunteers head out searching for swift parrots and regent honeyeaters!  And I have volunteered to coordinate sites across the Riverina. So if you're interested in a trip out west to check out some wonderful box ironbark habitat, then check out the link below and choose a site you would like to visit.  I can provide further details if needed.

It would be fantastic if some COG members are able to go out and do some surveys over the coming weeks (on the survey weekend 4-5 Aug or a week either side) - please click on this link to see the sites available and put your name next to the one/s you would like to do.

There have been at least 70 Swift Parrots in the Riverina already this season but they have now dispersed and could be anywhere there is flower.  We have so far had records from the Holbrook, Tarcutta and Grenfell areas and surrounds and I'm sure there's more in other areas too.

Kind regards

Debbie
