Yes you are right it is a Brown Falcon. Good photo. If you need hints: shows
all the features, scruffy look, broadest around the middle, dark feathers
over the flanks, face markings, blue-grey feet & beak, regular barred tail
pattern.........

Attached image taken at J.W. yesterday (I think Brown Falcon). I.D. would
be appreciated. Also, with Allan Bills, saw a Hobby take a bird in flight
not more than 15 mtrs away and about 1 mtre above the gravel path near Snipe
hide. He then proceeded to feed in the open in a dead tree. Probably a once
in a lifetime viewing.
