I was in Bright and was very excited to see a Rose Robin and flocks of Gang Gang Cockatoos, amongst other things.

I did my usual prowl round the Hoskinstown Plain and to Foxlow Lagoon today.  I have written it up on the Carwoola Birds blog, and here are the highlights:

  • 3 Skylarks calling in the first half of Briars Sharrow Rd;
  • 25 Red Wattlebirds flew over the road near Yandiguinula /Resch's Creek;
  • 16 Flame Robins seen at various sites, with 9 in one tree at Foxlow;
  • Adult White-breasted Sea-Eagle at Foxlow;
  • 17 Avocets and 5 Stilts still at Foxlow;
  • Red-kneed Dotterel at Foxlow (this species seems generally more common this year).
