A pair of Scarlet Robins foraged to the west of the Strathnairn Homestead
Gallery on the morning of Friday 6th April.
Possibly the same pair used a long-fallen eucalypt and the fencelines for
foraging lookouts in the paddocks at Strathnairn which will shortly become the
new suburb of Strathnairn for the Ginninderry development. This was on Saturday
7th April in the late afternoon.
On Sunday 8th there was a pair of Scarlet Robins foraging amongst eucalypts,
shrubs and sparse grasses in a gully in Woodstock Reserve off Stockdill Drive,
Holt. Stockdill Drive will bear increased traffic in the future as a new
electricity sub-station is planned for this “end of the world” area of
Belconnen.
