Hard to judge from someone not there. Just on this, "a sort of warbling
call" is more suggestive of Red-rumped Parrots. Or is that too obvious?

Subject: Possible Swift Parrots in Hughes
As I was coming back from exercising this morning at around 6.45 in the half
light I saw two small parrots flying over our house, heading north towards
Deakin and the Mint
My first thought was that they were smaller lorikeets (Musk or Little), they
were smaller and slenderer than Rainbows. But they didn't look right for
this. Then one gave a sort of warbling call that wasn't a lorikeet call and
finally as they passed over it seemed they didn't have tails (I have noticed
that in poor light Swifties slender tails are difficult to see and they seem
to have a very stumpy tail).
All silhouette, no colours.
Pretty certain they were Swifties.
