I am interested in the highly variable immature (second year) phase.  I am thinking of writing a summary of what we have seen in Canberra over recent seasons, bringing together different examples of retained juvenile plumage.  I’d be grateful if anyone can help with photos of such examples. Steve Wallace and Shorty have already been very helpful.  I’d also appreciate any comments on the extent to which immature birds are seen, that is the proportion of immatures in the overall male population.
