Black-shouldered Kite was active around Dairy Flat Rd, then the Billabong within the Jerrabomberra Wetlands this evening, stopping for a feed on a dead tree.

A Little Eagle also spent some time in the same area with a rabbit in hold.

For reptile fans an Eastern Brown snake made a hasty retreat when I stepped beside it partially on the boardwalk on a blind corner, a short time later a Red-bellied Black snake slithered out at some speed, perhaps spooked by the Brown.
