We had a male Scarlet Honeyeater in our Wamboin garden today, only our second ever record, the previous one being many years ago.

After hearing the call I grabbed Kathy and our bins and we tracked him down to a Grevillea where he was feeding energetically until chased off by one of the resident Spinebills. No sign or call since, and no photo unfortunately.
