This bird was shaking its head vigorously. The right side flange can be seen to be on the same plane as the rest of the bill while the left side flange is still at right angles to the rest of the bill, albeit with some bend at the tip. I had thought the flanges were rigid but, not so. Image taken at Kelly's 10 October 2017. regards Con Attachment:
