The nesting Yellow Thornbills I reported on 13 Sept (4 weeks ago) are now feeding young in the nest. I have not visited the nest for a couple of weeks so this may not be a recent development – the young seem to be a reasonable size from the size of the food being brought and by the size of the waste package being removed. The attached photo is a combination of two photos taken about 20 minutes apart, one with a bird arriving with food and the other of a bird leaving with the waste. The nest is above the bird with the waste.
