Birds seen on the track to Yankee Hat yesterday included a pair of Swamp harriers patrolling the reedbeds, and 3 species of woodswallow: Dusky, White-browed and Masked. The last two were difficult to count as they seemed to be in scattered and mobile groups, but at several points there were 3-5 of each in view, often perched at low level. The duskies were a single compact group of four.

Also Fantail cuckoos (2), Flame robins (3), Yellow robin (1), numerous Fuscous honeyeaters (seen and heard), 20+ Tree martins, and a Wedgie feeding on a wallaby carcass by the road.
